Sam Pace (Austin, Texas) - Special solo show

6-9 PM

No Cover

Sam Pace and the Gilded Grit have been making a name for themselves as a force to be reckoned with since their inception in 2011.  As staples in the Austin music scene and road dogs famous for their relentless 50-city U.S. Tours- the band has an old school work ethic with the chops to match.

“As far as high energy shows are concerned, Austin music fans could not do much better that Sam Pace and the Gilded Grit” – Greg Ackerman, Examiner

Over the past three years Sam has been peppered throughout the Austin Music Awards annual Top-10 lists. He has placed Top-10 for Musician of the Year, Best Song, Best Album, Best Album Art, Best Rock Band, Best Blues/Soul/Funk Band and two years in a row for Best Guitar Player and Best Male Vocals.

“Down and dirty rock n’ roll is hard to come by these days, even more difficult for it to achieve the level of success Pace has…” – Overload Austin

Sam’s voice and guitar playing are the signatures of the sound. His booming baritone and soulful growl give the music a powerful edge; while his heavy, swinging guitar and thick, luscious tone has been described as “a marriage between Peter Green, early Clapton, and early Hendrix.”

Shakedown Street

9 PM - 1 AM

$6 Cover

One of the longest running Grateful Dead tribute bands in the world, Shakedown Street, makes its home in and around the Rocky Mountain region of North America. Spawned from jam sessions at the Ancient Mariner bar in Manitou Springs, Colorado in 1987, Shakedown Street quickly grew in popularity, and garnered a legion of loyal fans who refer to themselves as “Shakeheads”. In a few short years, throngs of “Shakeheads” could be found on the highways and byways of the Rocky Mountains, making their way to another Shakedown Street show.

In the live music venues of the Rocky Mountains, there are only a few bands that are able to consistently draw large audiences. Shakedown Street accomplishes this year after year by embodying the Grateful Dead ethos of improvisation and discovery while maintaining an intimacy and open repoire with its audience. A whole new generation of “Shakeheads” has discovered the positive and collaborative energy found at a Shakedown Street concert. Longtime fans are thrilled to find the band sounding hotter than ever, and having the time of their lives!

Believing that it is good to give back to the planet, Shakedown Street performs charity and benefit engagements on an ongoing basis to help their local and global communities.

Jeremiah and The Red Eyes (Flagstaff, Arizona)

12-3 PM

No Cover

Jeremiah Sammartano, Flagstaff based, Emmy nominated singer/songwriter who fronts the bluesy/Americana and sometimes one-man band, Jeremiah and the Red Eyes, has covered many miles over the past several years - taking the various roads spreading music influenced by the raw blues of Charley Patton, the lyrical and often raucous sounds of The Pogues, the twang of Willie Nelson, and some vintage rock and roll - "Delta Blues and Twangy Grooves" - from Los Angeles outward through the western states to St. Louis, Nashville (where he relocated for a spell in 2008-2009), Chicago - and overseas to the UK. In the past, Jeremiah has shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Southern Culture On The Skids, David Olney, and has performed on the radio shows WDVX Blue Plate Special out of Knoxville, TN., The Live@Lunch show on KRFC out of Fort Collins, CO., and ResonanceFM out of London, UK. In Spring 2011 Jeremiah received an Emmy nomination for writing music for the documentary, Prison Through Tomorrow's Eyes. Three albums have been released - 2004's Red Eyed And Restless and 2010's Under Your Spell and in December 2012, a 10 song album called HOME. Since 2015 Jeremiah has been busy with trips through the Southwest, a tour through the UK, and lots more shows from the West, to the North, to the South, and to the East. A new album, These Motel Days, was released on March 31, 2018.

Andrew Ham (Texas)

4-8  PM

No Cover

Originally from and still residing in the Central Texas Hill Country, Andrew Hams talent is coming to light with the release of his first album, “Far Away Places.”

After finishing college in San Marcos, Texas, Andrew taught in Florence public schools for one year before moving to Houston, Texas for seven years where music and songwriting became second to a career in the oil and gas industry.

In 2013 Andrew decided to leave Houston, but not by way of land. Andrew took his time and sailed his small sailboat from Galveston, Texas to Key West, Florida, staying along the Gulf coast shore and the intercoastal waterways for most of the trip. After returning to the Hill Country, Andrew was still restless, which led him to grab his guitar and suitcase to head to Mexico for three months. It was during this time that he rediscovered his love of music and songwriting.

For the last few years, Andrew has spent much of his time writing songs for the album “Far Away Places” and playing at local venues in the Texas Hill Country.

Shovelin Stone

6-9 PM

No Cover

With roots embedded in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and a sound unhinged in the capital of Texas, Shovelin Stone is music almost as unique as the friendship it stems from; a shared passion for old-timey bluegrass is what brought Makenzie and Zak together. Still, it's the unknowing joy for the moment, and the obsession with the complications that life brings that continues to push the duo forward. Within heartfelt lyrics and unique musical composition, the folk sound that projects from these two is not only going to get the audience thinking but on their feet. The road is winding, but one thing is for sure that with these two at the wheel, it's going to be a wild ride.

My Old School - A tribute to the music of Steely Dan

4-8 PM

$6 cover at 2:30 PM

Denver’s own My Old School is the culmination of the efforts of a group of sleek musicians who feel a close affinity to the massive musical legacy that is Steely Dan – Walter Becker and Donald Fagen applied jazz sensibilities to popular music like no one else in the history of pop.  As a group with credentials toward serious chopsmanship and an intellectually insurgent attitude, Steely Dan remains widely adored and all too scarcely imitated.  My Old School goes deep into the Steely Dan repertoire – with dazzlingly brilliant solo work, astonishingly rich vocal and horn section harmonies, and powerfully tight, irresistible grooves, our faithful tribute will take you back and ‘Do It Again’, reliving a unique collaboration in pop music history.
